Volkswagen Glass Done Right
Volkswagen vehicles are engineered with specific windscreen technologies that demand specialist knowledge during a replacement. From the VW IQ.Drive / Front Assist safety suite to acoustic laminated glass and head-up displays, getting the correct glass and calibration is essential to preserve the driving experience and safety features as the manufacturer intended.

ADAS & Glass Specifics
VW IQ.Drive / Front Assist
Volkswagen vehicles feature lane-keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise, traffic jam assist on ID and higher trims. All of these systems rely on a forward-facing camera mounted behind the windscreen. After replacement, the camera must be recalibrated to factory alignment — we handle this as part of every Volkswagen replacement we carry out.
Glass specification
VW fits standard laminated glass on base models and acoustic glass on higher trims (Life, Style, R-Line). Rain and light sensors are standard from Golf Mk7 onwards. ID range uses larger windscreens with integrated camera arrays.
Worth knowing
VW ID.3/ID.4/ID.Buzz require static calibration plus firmware initialization after fitting — we handle both as part of the job.
