Does my car insurance cover windscreen replacement?
Most comprehensive UK motor insurance policies include windscreen cover as standard. This typically covers chip repair, full windscreen replacement, rear and side glass, and in some cases sunroof and panoramic glass. Third-party-only policies usually do not include glass cover. Will a windscreen claim affect my no-claims bonus?
No. Windscreen and glass claims are treated separately from accident claims by virtually every UK insurer. A glass claim does not affect your no-claims bonus and will not increase your premium at renewal.
