ADAS & Glass Specifics
Toyota Safety Sense
Toyota vehicles feature pre-collision system, lane departure alert with steering assist, dynamic radar cruise control, road sign assist. All of these systems rely on a forward-facing camera mounted behind the windscreen. After replacement, the camera must be recalibrated to factory alignment — we handle this as part of every Toyota replacement we carry out.
Glass specification
Toyota fits laminated glass as standard, with acoustic glass on hybrid and Lexus-badged equivalents. The Toyota Safety Sense camera is mounted in a prominent housing near the rearview mirror — the housing must be refitted correctly for the camera to see properly.
Worth knowing
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 and 3.0 vehicles require static calibration post-replacement. Older TSS 1.0 vehicles may use dynamic calibration only.
