ADAS & Glass Specifics
Hyundai SmartSense / Kia DriveWise
Hyundai & Kia vehicles feature forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keep assist, smart cruise control, blind-spot collision warning. All of these systems rely on a forward-facing camera mounted behind the windscreen. After replacement, the camera must be recalibrated to factory alignment — we handle this as part of every Hyundai & Kia replacement we carry out.
Glass specification
Hyundai and Kia share platforms and glass specifications. Standard laminated glass on lower trims, acoustic on higher trims and EV models. Heated elements are common in UK-spec cars.
Worth knowing
Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, EV6, and Niro EV require dual-camera calibration — both front windscreen cameras must be calibrated simultaneously. We have the equipment and protocols.
